**What Is the Opportunity?**

The Bond and Specialty Insurance division of Travelers is seeking to add an Associate Account Executive (Underwriter) to our Construction Surety team. This is an opportunity to join a successful, dedicated, and collaborative team of underwriters in a highly visible and challenging role. Associate Account Executives (Underwriters) have the opportunity to build a unique and rewarding career at an Industry leader within a highly specialized niche of the Insurance Industry.

**What Will You Do?**
- Analyze the financial strength of current and new clients
- Monitor on-going bonded projects and making funding recommendations
- Underwrite new business submissions
- Support senior underwriting group with analysis, recommendations, and drafting security documents
- Expand industry knowledge through additional education and by joining various associations
- Representing Travelers at various industry-related functions
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Detail-orientated and thoughtful
- Focus on building relationships within Travelers and with various business partners
- Motivation to provide best-in-class service
- An aptitude for swift, empathic problem solving
- The capacity to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment
- Outstanding Microsoft Excel skills, proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

**What is a Must Have?**
- Successful completion of a Bachelor’s degree specialization in Business preferred
- Minimum of 1-year of related professional experience
- Valid drivers license is required
- Some travel is required
