**Position Overview**:
A Technician is responsible for the set up and operation of basic / small-scale audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment while ensuring complete customer satisfaction. This position reports to an Operations Manager, Operations Director or Director, Event Technology.
**Key Job Responsibilities**:
**Equipment Operation**
- Ensures a flawlessly executed event through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of basic audiovisual equipment as listed in the technical qualifications section.
**Customer Service**
- Strives to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external customers.
- Maintains a positive relationship with all clients through effective communication.
- Meets with guests on site to ensure that their needs are met and the equipment setup is working properly.
- Monitors events and checks in on customers throughout the day.
- Understands and fosters the hotel/client relationship.
**Technical Ability**
- Understands the technical aspects of the job and demonstrates basic operational ability to troubleshoot and problem solve with equipment and software issues.
- Handles equipment challenges and changes in a timely and professional manner.
**Systems Knowledge**
- Understands company processes, follows procedures and completes systems entry and paperwork accurately.
- Uses the equipment sheets to determine the equipment scheduled for set up and for strike. Interacts with other staff and outside vendors for equipment.
- Increases revenue by utilizing floor up-selling techniques.
- Works with clients to finalize invoices.
- Completes order entries in Navigator, as needed.
**Job Qualifications**
- High School Diploma required. Associate’s degree is preferred.
- 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
- 1 year of audio visual experience or equivalent in educational environment is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license is required for team members that may operate Company vehicles.
- Additional DOT requirement may need to be met if applicable

**Aperçu du poste**:
Un technicien est responsable du montage et de l'exploitation de systèmes audiovisuels de base/à petite échelle dans un environnement hôtelier, tout en assurant l'entière satisfaction des clients. Ce poste relève d'un gestionnaire des opérations, d'un directeur des opérations ou d'un directeur de la technologie des événements.
**Responsabilités principales**:
**Opération de l’équipement**
- Assurer une exécution impeccable de l'événement grâce au montage, à l'utilisation et au démontage précis et opportuns de l'équipement audiovisuel de base, tel qu'indiqué dans la section des aptitudes techniques.
**Service à la clientèle**
- S'efforce de dépasser les attentes et les besoins des clients internes et externes;
- Entretient une relation positive avec tous les clients grâce à une communication efficace;
- Rencontre les clients sur place pour s'assurer que leurs besoins soient satisfaits et que l'installation de l'équipement soit adéquate;
- Surveille les événements et effectue un suivi auprès des clients tout au long de la journée;
- Comprend et favorise la relation hôtel/client.
**Aptitudes techniques**
- Comprend les aspects techniques du travail et démontre une capacité opérationnelle de base pour dépanner et résoudre les problèmes liés à l'équipement et aux logiciels;
- Gère les problèmes et les changements d'équipement de manière opportune et professionnelle.
**Connaissance des systèmes**
- Comprend les processus de l'entreprise, suit les procédures et effectue avec précision la saisie des systèmes et de la documentation;
- Utilise les fiches d'équipement pour déterminer l'équipement prévu pour le montage et le démontage; Interagit avec les autres membres du personnel et les fournisseurs externes au sujet de l'équipement;
- Augmente les revenus en utilisant des techniques de vente incitative sur le terrain;
- Travaille avec les clients pour finaliser les factures;
- Complète les entrées de commandes dans Navigator, selon les besoins.
**Qualifications requises**
- AEC, DEP, DEC ou tout autre diplôme pertinent à la fonction.
- Un an d'expérience dans le domaine du service à la clientèle ou de l'hôtellerie est préférable;
- Un an d'expérience en audiovisuel ou équivalent dans un environnement éducatif est préférable;
- Un permis de conduire valide est requis pour les membres de l'équipe susceptibles de conduire des véhicules de l'entreprise;
- Il peut être nécessaire de satisfaire à d'autres exigences du Ministère des transports, le cas échéant
- Maitrise l'anglais et le français.
