**Position Overview**

Are you an experienced Electronics Technician with a passion for precision and a knack for problem-solving? We're looking for you to be a vital part of our team. Your main focus will be on repairing industrial welding equipment, but your responsibilities extend to several repair-related tasks.

**Key Responsibilities**

As our Electronics Technician, you will:

- Troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and overhaul electrical welding equipment.
- Create comprehensive reports detailing the work performed.
- Collaborate closely with team members to ensure the completion of tasks.
- Monitor incoming equipment and maintain their records.
- Assist with loading and unloading customer equipment, using forklifts and other handling devices.
- Participate in workplace organization and improvement projects.
- Communicate effectively with your team to address outstanding jobs.
- Occasionally take on special assignments.

You'll work both independently and as part of a collaborative team, where your input is valued and your skills are vital.

**Primary Job Functions**

Your day-to-day duties will involve:

- Diagnosing, repairing, calibrating, testing, and cleaning assigned equipment.
- Preparing and submitting accurate reports outlining the required repairs.
- Communicating with equipment manufacturers to source troubleshooting procedures and necessary parts.
- Maintaining effective communication with coworkers to preserve customer relations.
- Identifying and resolving potential customer-impacting problems.
- Reviewing the status of pending repairs with fellow team members.
- Completing approved repairs as directed by your manager.
- Conducting load tests to ensure repaired equipment meets manufacturer tolerances.
- Loading and unloading industrial equipment from trucks with authorized materials handling devices.
- Adhering to health and safety rules established by management.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient workplace in line with management's guidelines.
- Performing additional duties as assigned by management.

**Qualifications and Skills**

To excel in this role, you'll need:

- Training and experience in industrial equipment repair.
- The ability to quickly diagnose equipment faults and identify necessary repair parts.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding schematics, prints, drawings, and technical bulletins.
- Knowledge of electronics, electrical, and mechanical equipment principles.
- A detail-oriented approach, with strong problem-solving skills.
- A reliable and punctual nature, dedicated to workshop organization and efficiency.
- Strong team collaboration skills, with the ability to handle independent assignments.
- Clear oral and written communication skills.
- Flexibility in managing changing job demands and last-minute requirements.
- A commitment to organization and safety standards.
- CSA-approved Safety Boots for workplace safety.
- A diploma or certificate in a technical field (or an equivalent combination of experience, knowledge, and education) is an asset.
- Knowledge of welding and/or welding equipment is also considered an asset.

**Work Hours**
- Monday to Friday
- 7:30 am to 4:00 pm

Our facility is conveniently located at Steeles Ave W and Pine Valley Dr in Woodbridge. It's just a 15-20-minute bus ride from Pioneer Village Subway Station in North York and a 5-10-minute bus ride from Highway 407 Subway Station in Vaughan.
