Overview:
Under the direction of security supervisors and managers, the incumbent provides basic security coverage ensuring that adequate protection is provided for the safety of patrons and team members. Safeguards the assets of the organization as well as those of its guests and team members. Promotes an outgoing, friendly guest oriented demeanor at all times.

**Responsibilities**:

- Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Alcohol Gaming Commission Ontario (AGCO)
- Ability to work and contribute in a team environment
- Assist patrons with a wide variety of inquiries and situations including providing information about the property and events, giving directions and possibly escorting them if necessary
- Prepare detailed incident reports in a clear and precise manner
- Patrol the event area to establish a security presence and report all unusual situations and/or suspicious persons
- Assist in the coordination and resolution of emergency situations
- Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing (fluency in both official languages preferred)
- Good sense of judgment, integrity, accountability, and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate managers of concerns and observations.
- Demonstrate actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company’s Mission and Values of Communication, Integrity, Fun, Respect, Accountability, Passion and Dedication
- Ensure prompt and discreet notification to managers of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations
- Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned
- Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock their choice for entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service

Qualifications:
**EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS**
- A minimum of a post-secondary diploma in Law and Security preferred
- A current First Aid/CPR Certificate, along with Non Violent Intervention Technique Certificate is an Asset
- The ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario

**SKILLS**:

- Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of computer software packages
- Previous event Security experience or knowledge of the Entertainment industry

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**:

- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to walk distances
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- The Entertainment environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to excessive noise and constant exposure to general public
- Able to lift 40 or more pounds
