**Role**:
We are looking for a talented and self-driven **Global Benefits & HR Specialist **to help champion a** Best-in-Class **Global Benefits program primarily in Canada and the US, with global expatriate exposure in a fast-paced environment.

You will also partner with the HR Business Partner, to provide Human Resource support services including time off and leave management.

The position will a Hybrid role and based in Vancouver, British Columbia. **Visa Requirements**: Must be legally able to work in Canada, RLG is unable to assist with sponsorship or obtaining work authorization.

**What you will be doing**:
**Benefits and Pensions**
- Executes the planning, development and delivery of RLG’s Canadian, US and Expatriate group employee benefit and pension programs (e.g., Group health, dental, short-term and long-term disability, worker’s compensation, life insurance, travel and accident plans, FSA, EAP programs and RRSP/401(k) retirement plans)
- Respond to all employee benefits and pension inquiries and assists to resolution.
- Completes benefits onboarding and offboarding activities for all employees.
- Ensures enrolment and confirmation of benefits for employees on international assignment.
- Maintains current information on provider websites for all employee benefit changes.
- Coordinate with payroll department for account reconciliation of benefit premiums and billings.
- Prepares and revises pension & benefit materials for employees and ensures internal SharePoint site is updated.
- Coordinates, promotes, and facilitates benefits presentations, educational sessions and tools for employees, including delivery of new employee orientations.
- Provides analytics, insights and recommendations on enhancements to benefit program design, policy, philosophy, strategy and technology.
- Performs plan audits for OSHA, workers compensation, 401K plan, FSA and health benefits as required.
- Keep apprised of all pertinent federal, provincial, and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements affecting employee benefit programs to ensure company compliance.
- Manages benefit broker and vendor relationships; work with benefits advisors to evaluate existing benefit programs to ensure they remain competitive and compliant and cost-effective as well as identify new opportunities.
- Oversee the benefits renewal and approval process, including coordinating discussions between benefit broker, HR, and RLG leadership.

**HR Administration & Support**
- Main point of contact for employees and managers for any benefits disability or leave inquiries.
- Manage disability claims and administers leaves.
- Onboarding and Offboarding
- Works with HR Business Partner on employee departures and other HR administrative functions as required.
- Participates in HR projects as required.
- Supports Annual Compensation and Performance Review processes.

**HRIS & Reporting**
- Super User for global HRIS User Group (BambooHR)
- Data Integrity - Maintenance and Oversight
- Uploads changes to benefits, updates document uploads to employee profiles
- 5+ years’ experience in employee Benefits and HR administration role
- Knowledge and experience with US Benefits / 401K and Canadian Benefits / RRSP
- HRIS administration experience (BambooHR experience an asset)
- Analytical skills, detail oriented
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams)
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Solid written and presentation skills
- Thrives in a multi-tasking, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Self-motivated with good judgement, team focused.
- Highly collaborative, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
