**Major Purpose**

**_*Please note that this position is contingent on Global Affairs Canada funding*_**

Reporting to the Inclusive Climate Action for Tunisian Municipalities Manager, the Officer provides project support and coordination, in addition to communication support to the Project Manager. The Officer would also implement monitoring, evaluation, learning and knowledge sharing (MELKS) following Global Affairs results methodology.

The Officer would have:

- Effective project management
- Effective communications
- Provide support to achieve the project results.
- Provide support in the donor reporting
- Provide support to deliver strategic evidence-based learning and knowledge-sharing

The Officer, Inclusive Climate Action for Tunisian Municipalities will maintain the highest level of confidentiality, professionalism and exercise good judgment including the ability to escalate to management when help is required and being able to meet deadlines as set out by their direct manager within a fast-paced corporate environment.

**Key Responsibilities**

The Officer will:

- Implement the MELKS strategies to support an effective project delivery and impact, meet generally accepted quality standards, and promote strategic evidence-based learning and knowledge-sharing.
- Ensure timely reporting by partners (quarterly) as input to donor reporting
- Lead the development and implementation of the project’s internal learning strategies which include reflections on lessons learned to improve project implementation and sharing best practices to strengthen the capacity of local partners;
- Coordinate and support the delivery of learning events for partners stakeholders and other meetings as may be assigned, including logístical arrangements.
- Lead the development and implementation of the project’s knowledge management strategy, including the coordination, documentation and sharing Knowledge Products which highlight lessons learned, best practices, and case studies for key audiences, and the use of optimal media and mechanisms to reach such audiences.
- Develop TORs for evaluations or other consultations/experts needs.
- Organize national-level information-sharing activities such as webinars and events to share the project’s learning.
- May be asked to undertake additional activities assigned such as participating in working groups and designing workshops/consultations and/or other activities at events.
- With guidance from the Project Manager, the Project Officer will oversee the design, logistics and delivery of capacity building events (online and in person), coordination of participation in regional and global networking events and project planning meetings. The Officer also supports the collection and reporting of project results data and the development of knowledge products.
- Support the contracting of consultants by assisting with the drafting of terms of reference and related material.
- Lead the communication for the project including the development of information resources, guidebooks, tools, website update, social media activities and ways to promote uptake of these.
