What You’ll Be Doing
- At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role_.
_You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote_.
How You’ll Succeed
- Understanding and Documenting Requirements - Work closely with business partners to gather complex business requirements and facilitate solution design discussions to ensure you meet project needs. Build strong relationships, lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements.
- Solution Design - Build client-focused solutions that meet business requirements. Prepare and validate solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, and quality assurance.
- Organization - Oversee requests from various stakeholders and thoughtfully create and/or edit a wide variety of presentation and communication materials (e.g. key messages, communication plans, tactical deliverables, presentations etc.)
- Communication - Superior interpersonal and communication skills sufficient to convey or present factual and conceptual information on issues which require detailed explanation and interpretation.
- Production Support - Conduct investigation and provide resolution(with help of developers when needed) for issues brought up by business.
Who You Are
- You have a bachelor's degree/diploma in Business, and/or Information Technology Systems (or equivalent work experience), and you’ve spent at least 3 years in a BSC role leading projects and designing solutions. It’s an asset if you have experience with Agile methodologies, and Application and/or Architecture Development.
- You are a certified professional. You have completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and/or have experience in the brokerage industry.
- You have working knowledge of financial product concepts and calculations (bond amortization, accrued income, expected income, yields).

- You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems, and making sense of information. You're confident in your ability to communicate detailed information in an impactful way. Experience using SQL, Azure Dev Ops, Quality Assurance, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills is an asset.
