The I.T. Department at SB Partners has a temporary IT Help Desk Technician role. This is a contract position that end in January 2024; it is also a hybrid position.

We are seeking a dynamic, smart, and service-oriented Information Technology Technician to join our team. If that sounds like you, keep reading

Purpose of the Position
The I.T. Help Desk Technician responds to staff requests for support, configures user accounts, loads machines, provides Microsoft 365 expertise, and assists the Director of Technology as required. The I.T. Help Desk Technician provides excellent client service and has an escalated awareness of security ensuring business continuity.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
- In a hybrid (on-site\cloud-based) network environment, performs new and departing staff procedures such as creating or disabling accounts, assigning & removing licenses & permissions, loading machines, configuring user profile and phone system needs, and setting up workstation areas.
- Responds to IT inquiries and malfunctions, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
- Troubleshoots and corrects PC, printer, scanner, and software issues.
- Diligently maintains inventory information, user & machine information in cloud management consoles, and technical documentation.
- Performs technical support on-site and via remote access tools.
- Understands Microsoft Remote Desktop Services and VPN.
- Performs file restores.
- Performs machine maintenance including driver and build updating.
- Diligence in monitoring for security threats and weaknesses.
- Supports the VOIP phone system, projectors, Smart TVs, Smartphones, and other devices.
- Supports and promotes firm’s Mission, Vision and Values.
- Maintains excellent communication and detailed daily reporting to the Director of Technology on all tasks and projects
- Microsoft 365 specialist - in-depth knowledge of the Office Suite (E3) as well as Teams, and other Microsoft Tools

Academic Qualifications, Work Experience and Skills Required
- A+ Certification or equivalent.
- Diploma degree in Technology Support or equivalent.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for updating and creation of user guides, instructions, and training new team members.
- Highly logical approach to troubleshooting.
- Fluent with Windows 10 Professional.
- Working knowledge of major network systems, including switches, Active Directory and folder permissions.
- Highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
- Willingness to complete some work outside of regular hours and be on call.
- Accounting software knowledge considered an asset.
