**About the Opportunity**

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager to lead our **Function** product categories of LED Recess & Linear Lighting Systems. This position will play a critical role in establishing the company's product direction, driving growth, and ensuring profitability. The Product Manager will develop and execute product plans based on market and channel requirements, overseeing the entire product life cycle for all Function product categories across various channels. Additionally, this role will be responsible for managing the product profitability to meet overall gross margin targets.

**What You’ll Do**
- Define and establish a 24-month product plan that aligns with the company's channel requirements, ensuring consistency with overall business objectives.
- Examine and analyze product line performance, including sales per SKU and profitability, to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Conduct regular product-line reviews to identify and correct gaps in planning requirements, ensuring alignment with market demand, market trends, and customer needs.
- Manage product SKU lifecycle to optimize product portfolio and maximize volume and profitability.
- Collaborate closely with Sales and Operations teams in the development process, gathering input and feedback to inform product decisions and enhance go-to-market strategies.
- Actively participate and contribute to the development of channel requirements, leveraging insights from cross-functional teams to drive product innovation and market success.
- Communicate and manage new product timelines and launches, ensuring smooth execution and successful market introduction.
- Develop costing, pricing, and gross margin recommendations for new products, aligning with company objectives and market demands.
- Create and deploy new product training for internal and external stakeholders that will enable effective product marketing, sales, and after sales service and support.
- Maintain accurate product specification files, certification, and government energy standards for use by Customers and Internal stakeholders.
- Work closely with sales and marketing team members to refine the go-to-market business strategy by channel, ensuring effective positioning and messaging of our lighting products.
- Initiate partnership efforts with Sales Reps to provide product training, support national accounts, and facilitate key customer interfacing activities.
- Act in an advisory capacity regarding product information to Engineering, Operations, Quality, Marketing, Customer Care, Technical Support, and the Sales organization, ensuring alignment and consistency across all departments.

**What You’ll Need**
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in product management roles, with a proven track record of success in driving product growth and profitability.
- Strong understanding of product life cycle management and experience managing product profitability to meet gross margin targets.
- Experience and comfort with business analytical tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Excel, and or Tableau
- Excellent communication skills - written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- Experience with regulatory or standards organizations such as UL, ETL & CSA.
- Ability to maintain attention to detail, multitask, and work well under pressure.
- A natural tendency to be curious, positive, analytical, and creative.
- Some travel may be required.
