The Bloom Group Receptionist/Administrative Assistant provides general office assistance, general admin, HR + Finance support, and receptionist duties to The Bloom Group central office.

EDUCATION/PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE:

- 2 - 3+ years of related experience in a similar capacity; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
- Typing speed of 60+ wpm.
- Document formatting and strong Microsoft Office experience.
- Previous experience in the non-profit or charitable sector preferred, but not required.
- Experience with RE database and other fundraising administration processes.
- Completion of a diploma in Office Administration or equivalent.
- Experience working with HR/Finance departments would be an asset.

ABILITIES/SKILLS:

- Ability to juggle multiple demands from various departments.
- Ability to effectively work and remain calm, organized and easily pivot in a fast paced, every changing environment.
- Able to work independently, while effectively managing your time and prioritizing tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to take initiative and work with a mínimal amount of supervision.
- Able to establish strong working relationships with management, colleagues and clients, displaying excellent interpersonal skills and adaptability to a wide variety of situations and personality types.
- Proven ability to communicate, both verbally and written, in an effective business manner across a broad range of stakeholders.
- Possess a high level of discretion with confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to communicate and empathize with people who may have experienced abuse, poverty, grief and loss, oppression, violence, mental health challenges, addictions issues or may be living with HIV/AIDS, other life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.
- Organized and flexible self-starter who possesses strong analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office suite.
- High level of accountability and follow through.
- Honest, reliable, consistent, and trustworthy.
- Strong work ethic, dedication to their role and to the Organization.
- Strong time management, ability to prioritize and complete the tasks assigned, well organized.
- Team player with can-do attitude with an eagerness/willingness to share and document knowledge.

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
