If you answered yes to any or all of the above you may be exactly what we are looking for. McHardy Vacuum has an immediate opening for a Repair Technician.

We are currently looking to fill a full-time service technician position by someone who loves working with people. Founded in 1946 we have a long history of solving client's cleaning needs. Experience in repairing household items is beneficial but not required, however the ability to clearly communicate and think outside the box when it comes to serving others is vital. In order to succeed with us you must have the confidence to take something apart and put it back together without any leftover parts :) Our services include in and out of warranty repair for most major brands like Dyson, Miele, Bissell as well as commercial cleaning equipment. We provide vacuum cleaners, central vacuum systems, commercial equipment, air purifiers, allergy relief products and chemical free cleaning.

Duties Include:

- Repairing residential and commercial vacuums, carpet extractors, floor scrubbers and air purifiers
- Educating clients on our product lines including the luxury brands Miele and Dyson
- Consulting on the installation of central vacuum systems in homes
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Brand growth strategies
- Attending training meetings

Working Environment:

- Flexible yet consistent schedule during regular operating hours
- Willingness to work extra hours during peak periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Working with people in a fun environment

Employee Requirements:

- Experience fixing household items
- Ability to keep an organized workspace
- Is a comfortable and persuasive communicator, presenter, and negotiator
- Good organizational skills for maintaining parts area
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, customer service skills and the ability to prioritize while handling multiple tasks is required
- Computer and POS software skills
- Able to work 40 hours a week during our operating hours below.
- Tuesday to Saturday 8:30am-5:30pm
