**Road Service: Heavy Equipment Technician**

**LOCATION**:London & SW Ontario

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**: Road Service

**WHAT TO EXPECT**:

- Signing bonus $2,500 for fully ticketed journeyperson
- Up to $3,000 in JJE Technician Training bonuses
- Stable scheduling: Monday-Friday Dayshift (40 hours/week)
- Quarterly bonus opportunities
- Road service truck provided
- Variable equipment including street sweepers, vac trucks and refuse trucks
- 2 weeks vacation and 3 paid personal days
- Group benefit coverage - 100% paid for by the Company

**WHAT WE’RE SEEKING**:

- Licensed Truck and Coach 310T or Heavy Equipment Technician 421A
- Strong work ethic
- Mechanically inclined; hydraulic, pneumatic, diagnostics, inspections and electrical
- Ability to adapt based on the work needs
- Valid driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract

**POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS**:

Education/ Certification: _**
- Licensed Truck and Coach 310T or Heavy Equipment Mechanic 421A
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract

**_Experience: _**
- 3+ years’ experience as a working on various types of heavy equipment
- Experienced with hydraulic and/or electrical work
- Experience setting up and operating complex machinery
- Experience using MS Office Suite

**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Perform mechanical repairs on a variety of heavy equipment represented by JJE
- Perform hydraulic and electrical diagnostics
- Conduct repairs in a timely and effective manner, communicating effectively with the Service Writer and Parts team to ensure optimal efficiency
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance tasks and inspections
- Communicate with Road Service Manager regarding job progress and job status changes
- Manage Service Truck inventory
- Maintain organized and safe work area, shop tools and service vans

**SAFETY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Employees must**:

- Work in compliance with the appropriate safety legislation/regulations/safety policies
- Report any known workplace hazard or safety violations
- Cooperate with their workplace’s Safety Committee or health and safety representative
- Use any safety equipment, protective devices or clothing required
- Not remove or make ineffective any protective device required by the Company or by the regulations.

- Shop, Warehouse, Yard, Road environment
- Frequent exposure to noise, dust and dirt

**_ Physical Demand:_***
- Frequently required to lift and move moderately heavy objects (up to 50lbs)
- Frequently standing and walking
