- ***:_ _Under the direction of the Program Director, Surgical Services and Maternal Child, the Scheduler will be responsible for preparing and monitoring of staffing schedules for Alliance nursing unit staff, including Registered Nurses, Registered Practical Nurses, Personal Support Workers and Unit Clerks._

- **DATE REQUIRED**:_ _As soon as possible_
- **SALARY**:_$26.75 to 28.35 per hour_**QUALIFICATIONS**:_
- **Education**:_
- _Completion of High School Diploma required _
- _Completion of community college business or administrative assistant course, or equivalent experience, required _
- **Experience**:_
- _Previous experience in scheduling staff an asset_
- _Previous experience in a hospital setting an asset_
- _Previous Meditech experience an asset_
- _Previous experience with computerized scheduling software an asset_

**Abilities**:

- _Excellent working knowledge of Collective Agreements, preferably HPHA ONA and CUPE contracts_
- _Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and scheduling software_
- _Strong telephone and interpersonal communication skills_
- _Strong ability to multitask, pay attention to detail, and deal with constantly changing and competing priorities_
- _Ability to work in a fast paced, often stressful, environment with numerous interruptions_
- _Ability to demonstrate initiative and good judgment_
- _Ability to problem-solve and remain impartial_
- _Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and organize workload_
- _Ability to interact on a professional basis with nursing unit staff and Leaders_
