Creative Lead
- 6-month contract with the possibility of extension

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Creative Lead (contract) to join our dynamic team.

The Creative Lead (contract) for Roots will be responsible for the following:

- Take the lead role on all design projects as it relates to supervising/mentoring graphic designers across both online & offline channels, maintaining brand integrity and quality deliverables while ensuring clarity of related deliverables
- Oversees designers’ day-to-day work in creating concepts, comps, layouts and final art— managing creative output for all marketing campaigns within established deadlines.
- Track all projects and progress. Ensures communication to relevant stakeholders while directing them towards completion and meeting deadlines.
- Partners with the Art Director during creative concepting for e-commerce, marketing campaigns and special projects, researching/reporting on the current industry landscape; assessing trends relevant to the Roots brand.
- Liaise between the marketing and creative teams to ensure briefs are delivered on time and next steps are established and completed on time.
- Work with the Art Director and Creative Producer to ensure stylists and graphic designers are aligned on project deliverables.
- Collaborates closely with the Creative Producer from pre-production to post-production, maintaining organization throughout entirety of creative process between cross-functional teams.
- Partners closely Social Media team, helping to maintain brand consistency across all creative output— organizing photo and video selects and leading design layouts for major marketing campaigns.
- Creates additional briefs and design mockups across digital and print channels when necessary, focusing on brand consistency across all marketing and retail projects.
- Collegiate diploma in marketing, creative design or a similar education
- 5 -7 years of previous experience leading creative projects, influencing and engaging multiple stakeholders
- Highly organized and detail oriented, able to manage multiple high priority projects
- Demonstrated ability to create project and maintain calendars
- Strong communicator, understands best methods of engaging various stakeholders
- Strong at building relationships and creating partnerships
- Deadline oriented with a strong sense of urgency
- Confidence to create recommendations and escalate issues where necessary in our team environment.
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft office suite
- High level of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
