This is a 6 month contract with permanent potential at the end of the contract
About the Opportunity
- Financial Reporting Requirements annually & monthly
- Lead the preparation of annual operating budgets, financial business plans and forecasts.
- Monitor variances to plan and determine actions needed
- Contribute to improved decision making by identifying trends and conducting financial analyses of the organization’s various operations.
- Prepare cash flow analysis and make recommendations regarding cash management
- Assist with the preparation of annual audited financial statements and liaise with external auditors
- Assist with pension plan management including plan administration and preparation of annual audited pension plan financial statements
- Assist with ad hoc audits as may be required from time to time by any of our funders
- Monitor internal financial controls and processes to ensure full protection of the organization’s assets
- Participate in the preparation of Ad hoc Analysis as needed
- Partner with client services and other support areas to identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
About You
- CPA with minimum 5 years of progressive FP&A experience
- Strong hands-on accounting skills and knowledge of GAAP.
- Drives a culture of exceptional customer service
- Superior Excel skills and strong aptitude for systems.
- Proven ability to “roll up sleeves” while maintaining a “big picture” perspective.
- Calm and confident manager who demonstrates strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to work effectively at different organizational levels; Ability to establish and balance strong business relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Comfortable doing presentations to various internal and external audiences
- Strong analytical skills, to critically evaluate operating results and understand their financial and organizational impact.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and co-ordinate activities and manage workload through to successful conclusion.
- High degree of energy and commitment; collaborative decision-making style; takes an organized and structured approach.
