HR Specialist

**Where Challenge Meets Passion**
This is a permanent, full-time, hybrid position that will manage HR duties for our employees in several Canadian cities including Montreal, Ottawa/Gatineau, Regina, and Victoria.
**What your weeks will look like**:
- Identifying the company’s hiring needs and managing the recruitment process to ensure it runs smoothly.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of sound HR policies throughout the organization.
- Designing and implementing effective training and development plans
- Maintain organizational charts, detailed job descriptions and employee work record.
- Manage benefits, health and life insurance programs.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding tasks, including orientation to Portage systems and programs, and exit interviews.
- Tracking HR budget
- Responding to employee and management queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Working with the management team to conduct employee performance reviews.
- Assign and monitor completion of new hire and refresher trainings.
- Perform administrative duties on HR systems.
- Stay up-to-date and comply with changes in provincial labor legislation.
- Minimal travel time to other Portage offices
**Requirements / Skills**:
- Fluently bilingual - English/French
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and time sensitive deadlines - agility is key.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to establish effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Meticulous attention to detail, curious and self-motivated
- Rigorous at keeping confidential information private.
- Solid understanding of payroll process
- Experience with Quebec’s labor laws, and ideally labor laws of other provinces.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel & PowerPoint is a must)
- Sound knowledge with HR Information systems
- In Human Resources or certificate with equivalent experience
- 5+ years of HR experience, ideally in a hi-tech company. Experience in recruiting is a plus.

- Gérer les programmes d'assurance-avantages sociaux, d'assurance-maladie et d'assurance-vie.
- Aider aux tâches d'embarquement et de hors-bord, y compris l'orientation vers les systèmes et les programmes de Portage, et les entrevues de départ.
- Suivi du budget des RH
- Répondre aux demandes des employés et de la direction et résoudre les problèmes en temps opportun et de manière professionnelle.
- Travailler avec l'équipe de gestion pour effectuer des examens du rendement des employés.
- Attribuer et surveiller l'achèvement des formations de nouvelle embauche et de recyclage.
- Effectuer des tâches administratives sur les systèmes de RH.
- Restez à jour et respectez les modifications apportées à la législation provinciale du travail.
- Temps de déplacement mínimal pour se rendre à d'autres bureaux de Portage
**Exigences et compétences**:
- Parfaitement bilingue - anglais/français
- Capacité à gérer plusieurs priorités et échéances urgentes - l'agilité est la clé.
- Excellentes compétences en communication et en relations interpersonnelles, et capacité d'établir des relations efficaces à tous les niveaux de l'organisation.
- Attention méticuleuse aux détails, curieuse et auto-motivée
- Rigoureux pour garder les informations confidentielles privées.
- Solide compréhension de la législation du travail et du processus de paie
- Expérience avec les lois du travail du Québec, et idéalement les lois du travail des autres provinces.
- Maîtrise de MS Office (Excel et PowerPoint est un must)
- Solides connaissances avec les systèmes d'information rh
- En ressources humaines ou certificat avec une expérience équivalente
- Plus de 5 ans d'expérience en RH, idéalement dans une entreprise de haute technologie. L'expérience dans le recrutement est un plus.
