**Job Overview**:
This is a permanent, full-time, hybrid position that will manage HR duties for our employees in several Canadian cities including Montreal, Ottawa/Gatineau, Regina, and Victoria.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Employee Relations**:

- Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR inquiries, policies, and procedures.
- Resolve employee issues or concerns while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Support in managing employee performance reviews and employee development programs.
- **Benefits & Compensation Administration**:

- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
- Support employees in understanding their benefits options and assist with the enrollment process.
- Help with compensation planning and ensuring that payroll-related queries are addressed.
- **Training & Development**:

- Coordinate and organize employee training programs to foster professional growth and development.
- Assist in identifying training needs and implementing development initiatives to enhance employee performance.
- **Recruitment & Onboarding**:

- Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and extending offers.
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and that employees are properly introduced to the company culture.
- **Compliance & Record-Keeping**:

- Maintain accurate employee records in compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
- Ensure adherence to labor laws, health & safety regulations, and other employment-related laws.
- Assist in preparing reports for internal and external audits.
- **HR Reporting & Documentation**:

- Generate reports on HR metrics such as turnover rates, absenteeism, and headcount.
- Assist in the creation and updating of employee handbooks, policy documents, and internal procedures.
- **General Administrative Support**:

- Provide general HR administrative support, including scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and assisting with HR projects.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in human resources, preferably in an HR specialist or generalist role.
- Knowledge of HR software (e.g., HRIS systems, payroll systems) is preferred.
- Familiarity with labor laws and regulations, including knowledge of compensation, benefits, and employee relations practices.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive employee information.
- Fluently bilingual in English and French

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
- Knowledge of HR compliance and regulatory requirements.
