**Mandatory Pre-Requisite**:

- 2+ Years of Mobile Enforcement/Alarm Response Experience
- 2+ Years of Customer Service Experience
- Valid security guard license issued by the Ontario Ministry of Community and Correctional Services
- Valid First Aid and CPR certificate -Valid Ontario Driver’s License (Class G or Higher)
- Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
- Must own a Black Suit/White Shirt/Black Tie

**Desired Requirements**:

- Post Secondary Education with Specialization in Protective Service/Related Area
- Experience Working Closely with TPS, DRP, YRP, or PRP
- Use of Force Certificate

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, as well as interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to exercise a high degree of good judgement and independence while evaluating emergency and non-emergency situations
- Ability to operate a wide variety of computer, radio, and monitoring equipment
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community
- Excellent situational assessment and communication skills
- Must be able to walk, run, stand for extended periods of time, in addition to climbing stairs
- Knowledge of radio usage (10-codes and etiquette)

**Job Duties**:

- Demonstrate friendly and personalized customer service as a frontline representative of Avante Security
- Determine and coordinate initial response to security guards or other necessary personnel
- Monitor all alarms and answer all calls for both emergency and non-emergencies on site
- Escalating and assisting law enforcement as required
- Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities
- Patrol assigned areas by vehicle/foot to ensure security of the facilities and that all areas are monitored and secured
- Enforce the Trespass to Property Act
- Familiar with section 494B of the Criminal Code
- Ability to communicate clearly over two-way radio
- Able to handle stressful situations with tact and professionalism
