We are hiring a corporate credit analyst to work with one of our clients based in Montreal.

**Mission**

The Credit Analyst will operate under the guidance of a Senior Credit Analyst Director and will contribute to a team tasked with overseeing a portfolio consisting of major US corporations and subsidiaries of international entities across various sectors. Their duties will include conducting thorough credit assessments, examining legal paperwork, and continuously monitoring the portfolio, all under the oversight of the Senior Credit Analyst.

**Day-to-day responsibilities**
- Generating financial forecasts and assessing the capacity for debt repayment, ensuring adherence to compliance standards.
- Presenting recommendations for and updating Obligor Risk Ratings.
- Continuously monitoring compliance with financial covenants.
- Examining all pertinent legal documents (such as credit agreements, guarantees, ISDA, CSA) and proposing amendments as needed for compliance purposes.
- Collaborating with various teams across regions (including the US, Europe, and Asia), business units, bankers, legal and compliance personnel, operations teams, and the Risk department.

**Competencies**:

- Proficient in financial analysis, with a focus on robust analytical skills.
- Capable of evaluating credit terms and conditions, encompassing financial covenants, security, and collateral.
- Comprehensive understanding of commercial and investment banking products.
- Skilled in collaborative teamwork, including effective interaction with teams across different geographical locations (such as the US, India, and Europe).
- Exceptional writing abilities, particularly in assessing and succinctly summarizing financial transactions (such as credit requests and covenant waivers).
- Thorough comprehension of accounting, legal, and regulatory frameworks relevant to respective sectors.
- Proficient in conducting investigations, researching, and synthesizing data to draw appropriate conclusions regarding observed outcomes.
- Adept at analyzing and assessing counterparty risk and financial health by leveraging both quantitative and qualitative data.

**Technical Skills**:

- Thorough comprehension of fundamental finance and accounting principles.
- Demonstrated experience in developing financial projections across diverse scenarios.
- Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Word for comprehensive written analysis and Excel for intricate spreadsheet analysis.
- Familiarity with capital markets and traded products, as well as committed financing facilities.

**Experience Needed**:

- 8-10 years as credit analyst in a corporate and investment banking entity or related field.
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university

Pay: $75,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
