**General Information**

In this role, the individual is a key contributor who will manage external service providers and work closely with other groups and leads from Asset Management, Operations, Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain and other internal/external stakeholders. The Project Manager - Technical Development will provide strong technical, project management, organizational, and communication skills.

**Responsibilities**

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Lead project development and support project management activities from project conception to start of construction, including front-end planning and project controls
- Coordinate or direct the work of external consultants and contractors
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Develop and manage project budgets and maintain project profitability
- Create and review project schedules with project team and contractors to ensure on time project delivery
- Lead technical design and perform technical review of project design analysis, and reporting
- Identify risks and suggest strategies to proactively overcome challenges
- Develop or coordinate investment valuations, cost estimates, decision summaries, risk analyses and conceptual plans, and preliminary and detailed design work;
- Create project execution plans to encompass schedules, budgets, resource requirements, permits and regulatory requirements
- Provide technical support for major equipment procurement initiatives
- Make independent decisions and communicate recommendations to management and other affected parties in a way that fosters consensus and facilitates efficient outcomes
- Other related duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- Strong business acumen to develop profitable projects, conceptualize new business opportunities, and contribute to Atura Power’s business strategy
- Proficient in reading and understanding engineering drawings, including electrical one line diagrams
- Innovative, self-motivated, professional, and able to work without being under direct supervision and contribute in a fast-paced, multi-discipline team environment
- Possess a high level of attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good judgment and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work independently to organize, plan, coordinate, and manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously including providing daily field support
- Ability to exercise leadership without formal authority and have demonstrated leadership skills for delegation, negotiation, influencing, and consensus building to coordinate work to meet objectives
- Ability to embrace and lead change

**Education/Experience**
- University degree in Engineering
- University Degree in Electrical Engineering is considered an asset
- 8+ years of experience in project development and project management, with at least 2 years of experience with electricity projects
- Experience related to the development of new battery, wind, solar, hydroelectric, or natural gas generation facilities is considered an asset
- Recognized certificate or diploma in Project Management is considered an asset
- Experience with Maximo enterprise asset management software is considered an asset
- Successfully complete a security clearance/criminal record check
- Provide proof of vaccination against Covid 19, or proof of valid medical exception
