**The Opportunity**:
As a part of our Maintenance Department, the Breakdown Specialist is handling all aspects of Challenger roadside breakdowns to minimize the impact on load delivery and maintenance costs through utilizing appropriate vendors, mobile technicians and driver self-repairs.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Manage all on the road breakdowns for our fleet of trucks
- Troubleshooting mechanical issues with our drivers and internal shop employees to determine root cause and best course of action
- Provide resolutions our drivers can perform prior to contacting third party vendors
- Source third party vendors to complete required maintenance repairs
- Obtain estimates from third party vendors and internal spend approval as deemed necessary
- Coordinate the appropriate breakdown solution while maintaining customer, driver and company satisfaction
- Provide open and frequent communication with all internal and external stakeholders during the entire course of a breakdown (Drivers, Operations Department, Safety Department, third party vendors, etc.)
- Create maintenance schedules and make arrangements for the scheduled repair
- Assist in maintaining maintenance records for fleet and generating reports periodically
- Assist our warranty team in ensuring maximum advantage of our warranty coverages
- Perform other maintenance duties as required

**What You Need To Be Successful In This Role**:

- Secondary School Diploma required
- Experience in a technical support call center environment is an asset
- Strong customer focus with a passion for providing exceptional and prompt customer service
- Intermediate Microsoft Office, computer and telephone skills
- Detail oriented with the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task in a busy environment
- Good verbal and written communication skills, relationship building and interpersonal skills
- Proactive attitude and takes initiative to prevent issues
- Well-organized, enthusiastic, professional and a positive team member
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Ambitious and creative to find solutions to a wide range of problems and situations
- Mechanical background is an asset
- Ability to communicate in French would be an asset
