**Job Overview**:
Janitorial Company is looking for Operation Managers to oversee the cleaning operations in the above regions. As the face of our company, the Operations Manager is the first point of contact for the client regarding operations, escalations, and work orders. The prime focus of Operations Manager is to ensure we meet its contractual obligations in line with service and budget parameters, and to look proactively for ways to increase performance.
**What You Will Be Doing**:
- May participate in the hiring, training, scheduling, supervision, and performance management of employees
- Provides coaching, feedback, and recognition
- Ensures a high degree of employee engagement and retention through strong leadership practices
- Uses technology to lead and manage team members
- Liaises with clients to ensure that performance standards are met and complaints are addressed
- Ensures that scheduled hours and actual hours are in line with budget
- Oversees or coordinates equipment repairs
- Ensures subcontractor hours are in line with budget
**Your Experience and Skills**:
- The ability to successfully pass a reliability clearance and criminal record check
- Excellent communication skills with clients and stakeholders
- Experience developing and fostering positive team environments
- Excellent communication and the ability to candidly have tough conversations
- Flexibility when it comes to your hours, as it's not uncommon to work outside regular business hours
- Work experience or knowledge of the Building Maintenance Service industry is considered an asset, but not required

**Full Job Description**
The Operational Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the custodial functions at various sites. The incumbent is responsible for the overall management of the Operations and Maintenance of buildings, and supervises the account managers assigned to individual projects. Specific responsibilities include customer relations/retention, quality assurance oversight, employee assessment/development, staffing, budget oversight, cost containment and reduction, short/long range planning, problem solving, and new product/service delivery.
**Essential Duties**:
- Manage the day-to-day operations at various sites to meet janitorial specifications.
- Manage and supervise the operation of all staff, and vendors at accounts to include scheduling, payroll functions, and training of staff.
- Accountable for responding to all service-related calls that include: service work orders, spills, floods, door access issues, emergency clean ups.
- Openly communicate at all levels with the client, and employees serving as primary contact for all client/customer-relations issues, and concerns.
- Perform daily site inspections.
- Ensure account is in compliant with all safety training, and safety related incident.
**Requirements & Qualifications**:
- Minimum two to three year’s managerial experience in Custodial or Maintenance Services or a similar environment overseeing multiple sites.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, and execute tasks with mínimal supervision
- Available to work a flexible schedule, including days, afternoons, evenings, weekends, as required.
- Must possess effective written and oral communication skills.
- Strong computer skills (including MS office)
- Possess strong ability to multi-tasks and develop priorities
- Possess ability to interact with clients, staff, and faculty in a positive manner.
**Note: This position requires compliance with our COVID related protocols, which may also include client-specific requirements. This might include, but is not limited to, either providing documentation of full vaccination as per public health mandate guidelines **_or_ **agreeing to regular COVID testing.**
**Salary**: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
