Office Assistant/junior Bookkeeper

We are seeking an Office Assistant/Junior Bookkeeper to join our team This position involves clerical and administrative functions in order to drive company success. This is a dynamic position with a diverse set of responsibilities. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to demonstrate, use and grow their knowledge, expertise and skills.
**You will be interacting daily with**:
- Suppliers
- Customers
- Employees
- Senior Management
- Sales Reps
**_Responsibilities: _**
- A point of information to Customers, Suppliers, Management.
- **General Bookkeeping**:AR/AP reconciling, HST Remittance, WSIB, Payroll
- **General Office Admin**:
- Data-Entry
- Update records in the internal ERP/Project Management System
- Daily familiarization with production activities of orders as they are processed.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Administrative tasks and filing.
- **Customer Service**: Provide positive customer service, provide order status updates, communicate and elevate customer concerns in a timely manner.
- **Sales**: Send quotations to Customers;
- **Purchasing**: Procure materials/supplies, reconcile delivery slips with purchase orders and supplier bills ensuring accuracy
- **Material/inventory Management**:
- **HR**: Assist in the coordination of hourly personnel
- **Operations**:
- Coordinating Customer orders with Production and Shipping/Receiving,
- Attend production meetings and ensure all information and materials are arranged to support a smooth production run.
- Any additional tasks as required by Management
**_Required Skills: _**
- Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree in Business Administration or Accounting, and/or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of related work experience and/or training;
- Familiarity with **Quickbooks**/other Accounting software
- Excellent Communication skills;
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Able to manage tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment and able to remain calm and patient under pressure;
- Self-motivated, assertive, dependable and proactive;
- Team-Player: Personable and can work as part of a team environment and independently;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Computer literate
- Exceptional planning, time-management, organizational and follow-through skills;
- Excellent relationship building skills;
- Flexibility to work extended hours;
- Previous experience in a customer service/supportive role within in a Mid-High Volume production manufacturing setting is an asset;
