We have an opportunity for a** Lighting Artist **to join our team of developers, creators, and fans, who are passionate about the art and process involved in video game development.

As a Lighting Artist, you will work with a team of professionals to create and maintain stunning and realistic environment lighting that breathes life into one of the fastest growing sports game series in the industry

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Work with the Art Manager and Art Director to establish visual targets and ensure visuals of the game deliver an authentic game experience.
- Collaborate with other sub-disciplines including Environment Artists, Level Creators, VFX Artists, Cinematic Artists, Technical Artists, and Software Engineers.
- Set up time of day lighting and atmosphere to hit specified targets.
- Set up lighting of key indoor locations, cut scenes, and cinematics.
- Set up full screen effects such as auto exposure, bloom, ambient occlusion, global illumination, and colour grading.
- Provide input to the improvement and evolution of lighting tools and techniques.
- Build positive working relationships and participate in team meetings.
- Mentor and guide less experienced team members to help elevate the teams' expertise.

**Skills, Knowledge and Experience**:

- Typically 2 to 4+ years of industry experience and proven game development experience as a lighting artist (or similar position).
- Strong understanding of how physically based rendering systems and lighting interact.
- Strong foundational skills, including composition, shadow and light, design, structure, silhouette, and colour theory.
- Knowledge of C+, C#, Javascript, or other programming languages.
- Maya scripting experience in Python and MEL.
- Experience with lighting within Unity HDRP.
- Experience with Project Management (Shotgrid, Jira, Confluence) tools.
- Experience with Source Control (Perforce or Git) software.
- Strong communication skills within a multidisciplinary art team.
- Self-motivated, technical problem-solver, and a team player.
