We have an exciting opportunity for a **Human Resources Coordinator** to join our team

Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Coordinator is responsible for providing full organizational support to all functional areas of Human Resources. This role will contribute to the achievement of the HR and Safety strategic goals by participating in special projects and other related initiatives.
- Assist with the recruitment and retention process including attraction, screening selection, onboarding of qualified personnel, and retention strategies.
- Coordinate and maintain the development and administration of effective human resource policies, practices, and procedures, advising management and employees in their interpretation when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with employment standards, common law, Human Rights and other applicable labour law.
- Manage day-to-day employee relations issues such as complaints/concerns, discipline and other performance related matters.
- Assist managers/foreman with employee corrective action and termination meetings, utilizing appropriate documentation.
- Conduct and analyze exit interviews and turnover trends.
- Establish effective working relationships with all internal stakeholders, based on trust, experience, and credibility.
- Assist with performance management process for all employees that emphasizes progress, continuous feedback and goal setting.
- Responding to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance
- Ensure that all employee information is managed in an accurate and timely fashion and the functionality of the H.R.I.S. (Workforce Now) and WorkHub is fully utilized.
- Work in conjunction with department leads, identify training and development opportunities, and work alongside the Safety department for training needs.
- Be a role model for corporate values and best practices.
- Oversight of the apprenticeship management process.
- Perform continuous social and professional networking to assist with filling vacancies, as needed.
- Coordinate training sessions and seminars
- Assist with new hire orientations, onboarding.
- All other tasks as assigned by Management.
