**What You Will Do**:
**Program Development**:
- Design, develop, and update training programs, modules, and materials using innovative instructional design techniques.
- Adapt training content to suit different learning styles and experience levels of employees.
- Utilize technology and e-learning tools to create engaging and interactive training content.
**Program Delivery**:
- Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions for groups of employees at various levels.
- Deliver training content effectively, ensuring clear communication and engagement.
- Integrate change management principles into training programs to facilitate smooth transitions and adoption of new processes, systems, and initiatives.
- Encourage participation, provide feedback, and address questions and concerns during training sessions.
- Establish appropriate ROI metrics to monitor and assess the effectiveness of training through evaluations and feedback from participants.
- Ensure that employees receive and complete mandatory compliance and regulatory training as required by the organization and relevant authorities.
**Onboarding and Orientation**:
- Collaborate with HR and hiring managers to enhance and develop comprehensive onboarding and orientation programs for both new employees and new managers.
- Ensure new employees receive necessary training and support to transition into their roles smoothly including interpretation of Corporate, Safety and HR policies relating to their roles.
**Continuous Improvement**:
- Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in training and development.
- Assess the effectiveness of existing training programs and continuously improve content and methodologies.
- Seek feedback from employees and stakeholders to refine training initiatives.
- Monitor legislative changes that affect Canadian/US businesses and determine changes that need to be made to existing content, as well as new content that needs to be created.
**Learning Management System (LMS) Management**:
- Support the organization's learning management system, including content uploads, user management, and reporting.
- Maintain and track training progress and records, completion rates, and performance metrics through the LMS.
**What You Will Bring**:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) an asset.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as Learning and Development Specialist, Training Specialist, Staff Training Officer, or a similar role.
- Minimum 1 years' experience in Hospitality (Food & Beverage or Hotels).
- Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in various modalities.
- Proficiency in using e-learning platforms and technology for training development.
- Ability to adapt training content to diverse audiences and learning styles.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to measure training effectiveness and impact.
- Proficiency in English language (written and verbal)
- Experience in managing a Learning Management System (LMS), Yardi, UKG is a plus.
- Professional certifications in training and development are advantageous.
