Overview:
At FlyOver, as the Training Manager, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs to enhance the knowledge, skills, and performance of our team members. Your primary objective will be to develop our workforce, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to excel in their roles. Additionally, you will lead training projects and collaborate with stakeholders to identify training needs and deliver impactful learning solutions. This role offers a chance to make a significant impact on the growth and success of our organization by spearheading learning and development initiatives.

**Responsibilities**:
TRAINING PROGRAM DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT
- Collaborate with the operations leadership team to identify training needs and goals.
- Design and develop comprehensive training programs, including content, materials, and delivery methods, aligned with organizational objectives.
- Incorporate instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and innovative training techniques to create engaging and effective training materials.

TRAINING PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION
- Lead and manage training-related projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
- Develop project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Communicate project updates, including achievements, challenges, and recommendations, to key stakeholders.

TRAINING EXECUTION AND FACILITATION
- Deliver training programs using a variety of methods, such as classroom training, e-learning, webinars, and workshops.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback mechanisms.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of training activities, team member progress, and certifications.
- Continuously update and revise training materials to reflect changes in policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
- Create and evaluate measurement tools to ensure training positively impacts operational performance and guest metrics.

TEAM MEMBER DEVELOPMENT
- Design and implement a comprehensive team member development program that includes a variety of learning opportunities such as workshops, job rotations, mentoring, and coaching.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development by promoting self-directed learning, encouraging knowledge sharing, and rewarding team members' commitment to their growth.

Qualifications:

- University or College education in Human Resources or related field desired
- Minimum of 4 years of training and/or instructional design experience
- US - SHRM-CP/SHRM-SC, PHR/SPHR, or APTD/CPTD desired
- Canada - CHRP-HRPA desired
- In-depth knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and training methodologies.
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to engage and inspire learners.
- Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in training and development.
- Prior hospitality experience strongly desired
- Ability and willingness to travel to the business units within assigned geography on a regular basis

FlyOver, the Ultimate Flying Ride, utilizes state-of-the-art technology to give you the feeling of flight. You hang suspended, feet dangling, before a 20-metre spherical screen while our film whisks you away on an exhilarating journey across some of the world’s most iconic landscapes. Special effects, including wind, mist and scents, combine with the ride’s motion to create an unforgettable experience. Currently, there are FlyOver’s located in Vancouver, B.C., Reykjavik, Iceland, Las Vegas Nevada and coming soon - in Toronto and Chicago. Several future FlyOver locations are proposed and are in the development stage.
