**JOB SUMMARY**

The SEP Manager is responsible for the management and supervision of the SEP Supervisor, and responsible for the oversight, support and development of all SEP staff and volunteers.

**JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Sourcing, Recruitment & Scheduling_
- Assess each new SEP hire for independence level, support needs, skills level, motivation, challenges, and accommodation needs.
- Build and maintain the monthly schedule for the staff and volunteers based on suitability, support needs, environment, etc.
- Complete all administrative tasks for the program including timesheet approval, payroll inquiries, and program petty cash and expenses.
- Placement and Support_
- Provide onsite support and supervision to approximately 50 peer staff/volunteers across a variety of programs.
- Collaborate with community support networks (employment support services, family, support worker, etc.) and the WISH Inreach team to identify opportunities at WISH that will match individuals’ strengths and support needs.
- Be available to oversee and connect with SEP staff on-site across all programs while maintaining strong professional and personal boundaries.
- Be available for on-call duty, for staff or to respond to any emergencies that can affect the program.
- Assist SEP staff with addressing barriers and challenges, and in support of their individual goals.
- Training and Mentorship_
- Develop and deliver adapted training and orientations for SEP staff, including delivering workshops, holding regular meetings, and providing on-site mentorship.
- Develop and deliver training for SEP staff to ensure individuals are welcomed and effectively supported in the settings they will be working or volunteering in.
- Recruit, train, schedule, and support SEP staff to ensure that staff and volunteers feel supported and successful.
- Maintain regular and ongoing contact with all SEP staff ensuring they are supported and successful in their role.
- Strategic Planning & Community Engagement_
- Compile, analyze, and submit statistics and reports related to SEP Programs, for internal program development/assessment purposes and to relevant funders.
- Engage with employment communities to share/learn best inclusive, low-barrier hiring practice
- Carry out all other needs deemed essential by peer staff and the program.
- Prepare agendas, and co-chairing regular SEP staff meetings and represents the SEP Program at regular and ad hoc planning/programming meetings.

**QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working in front line social service delivery is required.
- Minimum of 3 years direct managerial and supervisory experience of a group of front-line social service staff.
- Post-secondary education or training in social service work, counseling, or related social sciences is an asset.
- Previous experience with employment or peer-based skills-building initiatives is a considerable asset
- Demonstrated leadership skills, budget management, and program management abilities.
- A deep understanding of the inherent issues that peers might face when engaging in mainstream employment and/or volunteer roles.
- Flexibility required, including ability to be on-call for responding to emergencies, including after hours, via phone or in person.
- Alignment with the WISH mission, vision, and core values.
- Strong feminist analysis of violence against women with an understanding of power and its intersection with gender, race, ethnicity, culture, class, ability, religion, sexual orientation, and age
- Knowledge and understanding of the DTES (or similar) community, issues, and needs
- An understanding of the inherent issues that WISH participants face on a daily basis.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining inclusive and collaborative relationships with the rest of the WISH team.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, including strong computer literacy in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Sharepoint, Outlook, etc.) and internal communications tools such as Slack are essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills (de-briefing, active listening, conflict resolution, de-escalation, problem solving, supportive) is essential.
- Excellent understanding and experience in creating and maintaining boundaries while supporting staff to do the same.
- Demonstrated ability to build a strong team environment with an inclusive, collaborative and supportive management approach.
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and Trauma Informed Care training are both assets.

**COMPENSATION & WORK ENVIRONMENT**
- Non-unionized, full-time permanent position.
- Salary range of $75,000 - $84,000 per year.
- Hybrid/remote and flexible working arrangements available.
