Sarnia, Canada CIMS Limited Partnership Full time

**CIMS Limited Partnership** is seeking **highly motivated individuals** to **implement, mentor**, and **guide health** and **safety initiatives** for the role of _**Health & Safety (H&S) Advisor**_.
- **Temporary Contract - Fall Outage_ August - October**_

**Reporting to the Health & Safety (H&S) Manager, you will be accountable for**:

- Conducting health and safety audits, including compliance and program-based audits, and halting any unsafe work immediately.
- Coaching the workforce (supervision and workers) on safe work practices in the field.
- Participating in Daily Toolbox Talk and Safety Meetings.
- Generating detailed written reports with clear findings and recommendations, such as incident investigations.
- Monitoring, measuring, and reporting on environmental health and safety performance.
- Reviewing existing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act/Regulations and other pertinent workplace legislation**.**
- A bachelor's degree in an appropriate scientific field or an equivalent combination of a post-secondary degree/diploma and a postgraduate certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
- 5 or more years of related experience.
- First Aid & CPR training.
- Completion of NCSO designation or actively working towards the designation.
- Joint Health & Safety Committee member certification.
- Completion of C.R.S.P. designation or actively working towards the designation.
- A self-starting team player willing to work collaboratively towards achieving the strategic goals of the company**.**:

- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Sharepoint)

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

- Weekends as needed

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

- Occupational Health and Safety: 5 years (preferred)
