My Insurance Broker (MIB) is currently seeking positive and enthusiastic individuals to join our team of insurance professionals as **Commercial Underwriter.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with MIB Broker Partners and carrier underwriters (as needed).
- Create and update new business & renewal submissions, and market existing business, if required.
- Manage a book of business with a mix of small to medium commercial insurance accounts within an MGA/Specialty Market.
- Negotiate coverages, rates, and premiums with insurance underwriters and MIB brokers.
- Review inspection reports and follow up for outstanding recommendations (as needed).
- Manage accounts receivable invoicing for the submissions you are handling.
- Work closely with the claims department regarding settlements, if required.
- Perform other related duties and projects as required.

**What You Bring**
- Minimum of two (2) years work experience in a brokerage (specialty commercial focused) or similar amount of time within an MGA setting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word and Excel
