Job Summary:
**Your role**:

- Coordinate the implementation of the City's community emergency management and business continuity programs including updates and resource materials as needed.
- Act as the City’s Community Emergency Management Coordinator (CEMC) per legislative requirements.
- Responsible to ensure the City of Guelph and its Emergency Operations Control Group (EOCG) are in a continuous state of readiness in the event of a municipal emergency through ongoing planning, training, exercise, testing, and awareness initiatives.
- Project management responsibilities associated with supporting and/or facilitating cross-divisional and multi-sector planning teams to develop business continuity initiatives for the City of Guelph and any strategic or operational partners as required
- Work collaboratively with service areas to identify acceptable recovery time periods, and establish resources required for the successful resumption of services in the event of a significant disruption.
- Coordinate and lead the corporate flood response.
- Develop and facilitate sessions for service areas in the development of business continuity and continuity of operations plans, and assist as needed to implement those plans.
- Design and implement the approved community emergency management plan including required public education for prevention, preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments in order to meet deadlines in a very demanding service focused environment.
- Excellent facilitation skills in order to conduct training and workshops.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve inquiries/complaints in an effective manner.
- Excellent communications skills (both oral and written) with the ability to influence and communicate with all levels of staff, stakeholders and the general public.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Experience in Business Continuity and Business Impact Assessment are an asset.

**Rate**:
$77,600.00 to $97,000.00
