**Job Description**:
Great-West Lifeco requires an experienced senior resource to effectively carry out our efforts in the transfer pricing field. The transfer pricing lead will be responsible for all aspects of Canadian transfer pricing and will be a primary technical resource to business and local tax teams in all jurisdictions in which we operate; ensuring sound transfer pricing principles are consistently followed and appropriate documentation is produced. This person will report to the VP of global transfer pricing and will work closely with our business units and other tax team members to ensure our related party transactions are properly transfer priced.

**What you will do**
- Provide technical transfer pricing advice on cross-border transactions and structuring within the Great-West Lifeco group, with specific focus on reinsurance transactions
- Complete technical reviews of all jurisdictions’ transfer pricing documentation to ensure quality and consistency of documentation across jurisdictions
- Complete annual Canadian transfer pricing compliance for the Great-West Lifeco group (including contemporaneous documentation, Country-by-Country reporting, T106 forms, submissions for tax authority audit defence)
- Monitor OECD transfer pricing developments and assess the impact to the Great-West Lifeco group on an ongoing basis; proactively respond to changing legislative and compliance requirements
- Ensure compliance with legislation through the documentation of transfer pricing methodologies
- Maintain Transfer Pricing policies and practices in compliance with evolving or new legislative requirements.
- Maintain and assist in improving or designing the Great-West Lifeco group’s transfer pricing-related technology tools

**What you will bring**
- 10+ years’ experience in transfer pricing, ideally in financial services and/or insurance
- A degree in business, economics, accounting or other relevant discipline
- Experience with tax audits/dealing with tax authorities
- Strong project management skills and ability to work effectively with various business units
- Ability to manage conflicting demands and priorities
- Highly proficient communicator (both verbal & written)
- Ability to independently assess reasonableness of business rationale and consultants’ advice.
