Medical Office Administrator/chiropody Assistant

Our team is seeking a **Medical Office Administrator/Chiropody Assistant** to join us on a **permanent, full-time** basis at our Whitchurch-Stouffville clinic. This role not only offers the chance to work in a dynamic foot clinic, but also presents a clear path for professional growth within our organization. We provide a full scope of practice in chiropody services, from routine nail care to surgeries, orthotics, and more.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assisting the Chiropodists with patient flow and treatment room set up/clean up.
- Ordering and managing inventory/supplies.
- Maintaining accurate accounting records.
- Maintaining a clean, pleasant and professional work environment at all times.
- Ensuring service levels are maintained through thorough knowledge of our computer-based scheduling system to meet patient and clinic needs.
- Managing and furthering clinic opportunities and operations.
**Qualifications**:
- University or college degree in health services preferred - A health science/kinesiology degree or Medical Office Administration diploma is an asset.
- 1-2 years of Experience in a customer-facing role.
- Medical terminology knowledge would be considered an asset.
- Excellent customer service skills - organized, detail-oriented, friendly and confident.
- Experience working with extended medical insurance is preferred.
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and specialized medical office software.
- Experience designing and implementing social media posts, posters, and other promotions using Canva software.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles.
- A team player who is willing to take initiative.
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
**Education**:
- DCS / DEC (preferred)
