Tidewater has an immediate opening for a **Technical Governance Processes Lead **reporting into the **Engineering Superintendent**. This is a full-time position based in **Prince George, BC**. The **Technical Governance Processes Lead **is responsible for the safe operation for the Tidewater Prince George Refinery. This role provides strategic development, implementation, and sustainment support for Engineering governance functions. This includes programs, standards, and documentation to sustain facility process safety, reliability, integrity, and compliance as part of a consistently applied governance model.

**Summary of Responsibilities**:

- Facilitate, sustain, and audit standards, processes, and mechanisms mandatory to sustain Tidewater’s BC Engineering Permit to Practice.
- Champion strategic development and implementation of controlled document management governance processes and structures, initially for Engineering and to be expanded in future across refinery functions.
- Manage improvements to and provide sustainment support for refinery Management of Change (MOC) processes and procedures.
- Lead, facilitate and coordinate coaching for users related to document management processes, databases, and files.
- Facilitate development and maintenance of engineering specifications and standards processes.
- Aid sustainment of capital budget long range planning processes and information.
- Assist in development of and support capital project execution processes and documentation.
- Maintain and provide support for Engineering department processes, including action item register upkeep, backlog management, and developing, editing, and issuing department status reports, policies, and work packages for internal or external distribution.
- Undertake general department activities including preparing presentations, developing and updating spreadsheets, addressing meeting logistics and managing training registration and qualifications documentation.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Graduate from a university, college, or recognized technical institute with a degree, or diploma in an industrial related discipline (e.g. petroleum, process, electrical, mechanical, controls, science)
- 5 years or more experience working in industry
- Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft software (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook) and Sharepoint
- Valid driver’s license
- Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards (e.g. CSA, API, IEEE, ASME)
- Previous experience working with engineering files
- Experience with document management software, preferably Document Locator
- Experience with computerized maintenance management system software, preferably Maximo
