- The Strategic Lead, Elder Program is responsible for providing strategic leadership to program planning, consultation and advice on program/service redesign as it relates to the Elder Program through the use of data, information, evidence informed practice guidelines, standards, policy, and research to inform and implement program development initiatives. The Strategic Lead may act as a Northern Health representative in provincial strategic planning processes as they relate to the development of Elder Program initiatives. The Strategic Lead serves as a resource to contracted service providers, community organizations and Northern Health, in accordance with the Elder Program mandate and Northern Health’s Mission, Vision and Values. Works with operations to monitor and report on the implementation status of accepted regional strategies and programs. The Strategic Lead, Elder Program facilitates access to the supports required from within Northern Health to ensure the successful implementation of services for seniors as per the guidelines and recommendations provided by NH Leadership. The Strategic Lead will also work closely with the First Nations Health Authority and Northern First Nations to support the development of the Elder Program’s objectives, scope, roles, deliverables, and constraints. The Strategic Lead provides regional strategic support to local leadership including ensuring service providers are meeting appropriate legislative service obligations. Provides leadership in the development of Elder Program Clinical Practice Standards by coordinating education sessions and other related presentations; facilitates access to training and/or education to staff, caregivers, schools, colleges and other community agencies.
- Starting salary will be approximately from $102,938 to $128,673 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.

**Qualifications**:

- Master’s Degree in a social or health sciences related discipline;
- Five (5) to seven (7) years’ experience in a position responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of complex service delivery systems;
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
