**Position Summary**:
As the Community-Engaged Store Manager at MB Country Living, you'll play a multifaceted role in managing store operations and elevating our community involvement. Your strategic vision will influence local partnerships, initiatives, and programs that engage with the community. Become the driving force that reshapes our engagement approach, transforming our store into a catalyst for positive change and fostering the community.
**Store Management and Leadership**:
- Uphold MB Country Living's standards, procedures, and policies.
- Lead and mentor the store team, ensuring clear direction and support.
- Conduct regular store inspections for a superior shopping experience.
- Monitor store performance, sales, and inventory through detailed reports.
- Ensure business activities align with company standards and objectives.
**Community Engagement**:
- Actively participate in local events and foster relationships.
- Stay informed about local trends, events, and partnership opportunities.
- Identify sponsorship and engagement avenues aligned with MB Country Living's values.
- Understand community needs and preferences to tailor initiatives accordingly.
- Represent MB Country Living at diverse local gatherings, nurturing a positive brand image.
**Staff Management and Training**:
- Create optimized staff schedules while considering profitability.
- Handle recruitment, onboarding, and continuous training of team members.
**Inventory and Product Management**:
- Manage product orders to meet customer demand while minimizing risk.
- Implement strategies to reduce inventory shrinkage and risks.
**Communication and Collaboration**:
- Collaborate with Retail Operations for planning, budgeting, and promotional campaigns.
- Foster positive relationships between the store and the broader community.
- Maintain regular communication with Retail Operations to align strategies.
**Flexibility and Special Assignments**:
- Actively engage in local community events and adapt to evolving business needs.
- Participate in trade fairs and shows as directed by Head Office.
- Offer availability to work Monday to Saturday
**Performance Metrics and Equipment Care**:
- Measure performance based on set standards and metrics.
- Maintain and care for company-owned equipment as needed.
**Other Duties**:
- Perform any other relevant duties as assigned.
**Experience and Skills**:
- Minimum 3 years of retail store management experience or equivalent.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and team management skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency in visual merchandising.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lift 25kg repeatedly without restrictions.
- Clean driver's abstract for occasional work-related travel.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
- Experience in product ordering and inventory management is advantageous.
