The Finance Manager is a leader specializing in FP&A and general accounting functions for their divisions within HUB. Based in Oakville, ON the Finance Manager will be part of the Eastern Canadian team and will report to the Director of Finance. Working with a team of Analysts, the successful applicant will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting including building the monthly P&L (including review and analysis) as well as oversee balance sheet reconciliations and support in connection with monthly audits.

**Responsibilities**:
Provide financial and operational analysis reporting to support business decisions (monthly standard reporting or ad-hoc).

Collaborate with Finance Leadership and Support to drive forward Eastern Canada Finance departmental initiatives and overall organizational goals.

Ensure escalations are resolved timely and accurately. Drives the root cause analysis to reduce future escalations.

Lead and co-ordinate the month-end process and financial reporting, from closure of broker management systems to preparation of financial statements in Oracle/Hyperion.

Investigate and communicate key variances relating to financial and operational metrics.

Perform annual budget and monthly forecasting process.

Liaise between Finance and Operations concerning transaction processing and reporting in the broker management system.

Other duties as identified.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
1+ years of Finance/Accounting management experience

BA/BS in Business with an emphasis on accounting. Related experience may offset this requirement.

A firm understanding of accounting and financial concepts and controls surrounding accounting functions.

Strong experience in Microsoft Excel.

Superior verbal and written communication skills.

Solid interpersonal, supervisory, and customer service skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

History of balancing multiple priorities with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines.

Experience in a shared services accounting environment preferred.

Insurance brokerage experience preferred.
