We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our innovative and fast-growing team. The Senior Financial Analyst will be a key member of the finance team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role involves management reporting, strategic financial analysis, overseeing indirect and income tax compliance, and supporting financial systems and process implementation.

Oversee the preparation and filing process of the sales and use tax, GST/HST, and VAT returns.
Stay informed about changes in indirect tax legislation across jurisdictions, evaluating their implications for the company and implementing necessary adjustments.
Conduct research on state and local tax issues, including nexus determinations.
Manage UK and EU tax compliance, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements while optimizing tax efficiency across jurisdictions.
Manage income and indirect tax audits, preparing documentation, responding to inquiries, and resolving discrepancies.
Collaborate with the Director of Finance, external advisors, and tax authorities to navigate complex tax issues and ensure compliance with state and local requirements.
Ensure the timely and accurate payment of state and local taxes on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis.
Assist with annual SRED and other ad hoc tax recovery projects.
Preparation of complex month-end accounting journal entries under U.GAAP accounting treatment memos for complex transactions.
Prepare weekly and monthly reports with detailed variance analysis to support cash flow forecasts and optimize cash position management.
Providing business partners insights on financial P&L performance and business decisioning.
Collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team environment to address system-related issues and participate in process and system implementation testing.

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Tax and/or Finance

Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA) is preferred.

At least 3 years of financial accounting experience in a corporate setting. S. and/or international tax is an asset.

Experience with AvaTax and financial systems such as Business Intelligence Tools (Power BI) and NetSuite is an asset.

Advanced proficiency in Excel (PivotTables, Pivot Charts, XLOOKUP, SQL Scripting, etc.)

Pension/RRSP Match: up to 4% of salary
