Every day, you’ll build lasting relationships with people, help them overcome employment barriers, mentor them in their career journey and facilitate their learning. You will be equal parts advisor, facilitator, and support provider.

This position is a 10 month contract, with the possibility of extension depending on funding.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Facilitate engaging workshops, either in-person or online via Zoom.
- Provide flexible learning supports to adult learners with varying communication styles.
- Engage a wide variety of audiences in a hybrid model of program delivery.
- Review the effectiveness of the workshop curriculum based on the outcomes of sessions and satisfaction surveys completed by participants.
- Manage a caseload of participants and assist them in their job-searching or professional development journey through some of the following supports:

- letter and resume writing supports
- assessments
- career advising
- mock interview sessions
- diversity and inclusion projects.
- Maintain accurate recordkeeping of confidential client information.
- Contact training subcontractors and coordinate delivery events.
- Provide any other program supports as needed.

**You are**:

- An engaging, dynamic, collaborative and empathetic personal presence. (This is important)
- Able to engage with a high level of abstract and critical thinking in diversity and inclusion topics at an undergraduate level.
- Passionate about learning and teaching people what you know. Certification or experience in education or adult learning wouldn’t hurt. (Don’t let this scare you off We are looking for someone competent, but we value having the right personality most importantly)
- Have computer knowledge in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and keen attention to detail to create presentations. (Details and creativity matters We like our materials to be professional and fun.)
- An active listener with a commitment to providing a high-quality training and coaching experience (Yes, our clients talk, we listen more. Use your spider senses)
- Willing to work the occasional weekend or evening as required. (But you get to take it as time in lieu so you may possibly not have to work on a Monday)

**Assets**:

- Have certification, recognized training and/or experience in adult learning, facilitation, coaching, mentoring or related skills
- Strong knowledge of the Alberta labour market and various community resources with experience in providing career advising and mentorship to adult learners.
- Experience in design and delivery of training related to career development and/or diversity and inclusion to groups of 5-20 participants.
- A demonstrated track record of positive evaluations from past participants.
- Knowledge in career management, Alberta Employment Standards, and Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Regulations.
- Experience in Mobius and work in a non-profit organization.

**Salary**: $23.00 per hour
