**Essential Functions**:
The essential functions of this role include, but are not limited to:

- Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation, seeking approval from the QC Manager/Sr. R&D Scientist for repairs when necessary.
- Conduct sample analysis and chemical manufacturing tasks in accordance with SOPs, promptly notifying the Laboratory Supervisor of any issues encountered.
- Manage individual productivity to meet designated requirements, promptly reporting any delays or challenges to the Laboratory Supervisor.
- Perform method QC procedures and maintain comprehensive documentation of all analytical processes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine analytical techniques, as well as assist in the implementation of new methodologies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the laboratory, including washing and sanitizing equipment and work areas.
- Recommend the purchase of laboratory supplies to ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained.
- Assist in the preparation of large volume commercial product samples and support Research and Development (R&D) initiatives as needed.
- Participate in pilot plant runs, including preparation, execution, and cleanup activities.
- Undertake special projects assigned by the QC Manager/Sr. R&D Scientist, such as designing new analytical techniques, producing technical documents, or developing workplace health and safety protocols.
- Fulfill any additional duties or tasks as required by the QC Manager/Sr. R&D Scientist and Chief Technical Officer to support the overall objectives of the QA/QC department and the company.

Offer support during extended work hours as necessary for overtime, depending on business demands, with provided pay in lieu.

**Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)**
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or a related field.
- Prior experience in a quality control or laboratory environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of laboratory techniques, instrumentation, and quality assurance principles.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Commitment to upholding safety protocols and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in all tasks.
