**About Our Opportunity**:
We are hiring for a results-driven, creative, and innovative Training and Development Consultant. In this exciting role, you will work in a highly collaborative environment to create training to develop and enhance our employees' skills.

**Primary Accountabilities**:
As the Consultant, you will leverage your expertise in learning and development to:

- Create curriculum as well as design and deliver training
- Manage several complex training projects and ensure efficient project management under tight timelines
- Provide logístical oversight for large audiences to plan and execute training events
- Use various forms of technology to support training delivery (virtual classroom, learning management systems, webinar platforms, Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Teams)

**Qualifications and Experience**:
You have completed a related bachelor’s degree and have at least five (5) years related experience with training development, facilitating, and training methods. An education degree or Adult Education Certificate is highly desirable.

Experience with E-learning/ Online learning development and design software, such as Articulate (or equivalent) is considered an asset.

The training and development consultant requires a comprehensive understanding of learning and development principles, adult education, organizational culture, Government, and departmental priorities. You must also have experience with virtual delivery options, learning management systems, as well as overseeing logistics and the development and implementation of training plans. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products is required.

Essential to this role are your effective interactive communication skills (written and verbal), group facilitation experience and the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment under tight deadlines.

We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks.

**Equivalency**:
We recognize equivalent combinations of training, education, and experience, providing opportunities for individuals with diverse backgrounds to contribute their skills and expertise. Equivalencies include, but are not limited to:

- A related master’s degree and three (3) years related experience
- A related 2-year diploma and seven (7) years related experience

**Working Conditions**:
You will work in a comfortable office setting. Periodic travel to other locations within the province to consult with staff and/or deliver training is expected.

Your normal work week is 35 hours/week, 7 hours/day.

There are numerous requests and frequent pressure to develop and implement training to support the achievement of training goals. Requests must be prioritized and balanced to ensure outcomes align with overall Departmental objectives

**Additional Information**:
Your worksite location is Flexible and will be determined at the time of offer negotiation and based on operational requirements. This position may located in any region across the province and located in any of our 30 offices. You can find our office locations here.

**Pay Grade**: PR 13

**Salary Range**: $2,543.38 - $3,091.70 Bi-Weekly
