**The Opportunity**

We have **7 full time **positions available for **Rehabilitation workers **to work within CMHA’s **Community housing with Supports program**.We are expanding and developing a comprehensive community housing and wellness support continuum including all three levels of Housing First, including Assertive community Treatment and Rapid Re-housing. Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) is a client-centred, recovery-focused mental health service for people with serious and persistent mental health illnesses.

**The Position**
The Rehabilitation and Recovery Worker provides supports to participants using the Psychiatric Rehabilitation approach as well as other relevant tools and methods of responding (i.e., Stages of Change, Carkhuff, Motivational Interviewing) to assist participants to gain skills and resources that assist them to choose, get and keep meaningful roles related to living, working, learning, and socializing. The position falls within Band 5 of the 2021 Collective Agreement, with the annual salary scale being between **$45,869.88 and $55, 799.34 **for a 35-hour work week. Hours are **Monday to Friday 8:30-4:30** pm with some flexibility within all CMHA’s operational hours as needed.

**The Qualifications**

Required
- a post-secondary degree in a human service
- related discipline such as social work, psychology, or nursing or education.
- Over two years’ experience in a community-based organization
- Knowledge of mental health disorders, and of Harm Reduction Principles.
- Strong knowledge of Psychosocial Rehabilitation, person centered screening tools and the levels of involvement with Stages of Change
- Knowledge of community resources and the health, mental health, social service, and government service systems
- Knowledge of the impact of stigma, and of the impacts of trauma
- Strong time and case management skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of Stages of Change and Motivational Interviewing
- Satisfactory criminal record check, vulnerable sector check and abuse registries
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Acceptable work record

**Preferred**
- Clinical assessment and counselling skills
- Demonstrates competence in cultural safety and works effectively with individuals with various cultural backgrounds
- Proficiency in MS Office
