Guelph, Canada Innovative Thermal Solutions Inc. Full time

ITS quality assurance specialist will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and implementation of standard operating procedures of the company and upholding ISO standards. They will lead the APQP process and work with the machinists and engineers to provide root cause analysis and resolution to quality related issues that arise.

**Responsibilities**
- Perform first off and receive inspections to ensure all products meet the specifications.
- Full ownership of all quality related activities in a build to print CNC machining and Friction Stir Welding and fabrication environment.
- Administer the CAR process as defined by the respective standard operating procedures and those of each customer.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Lead cross-functional problem-solving teams and implement quality improvement tools and techniques using management and planning tools, quality tools, lean manufacturing knowledge and preventive and corrective actions to overcome barriers to continuous quality improvements.
- Interact with auditors, production employees and Management.
- General administration: Prepare reports, ensure all quality records are up to date and filed correctly. General filing, data entry and other various office type tasks.
- Participate in continuous Improvement activities.
- APQP and PPAP review and acceptance of supplied product plus submission of OEM customer PPAP packages.

**Requirements**:

- Must have a degree in quality.
- Extensive knowledge of the ISO quality system and the ISO 9000 disciplines, SPC (Statistical Process Control), DOE (Design of Experiments) and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), CI (Continuous Improvement) standards is necessary.
- Experience in a CNC machining (milling) manufacturing environment with knowledge of fabrications.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, Quality Management System is an asset.
- Experience with measuring devices (Verniers, micrometers, high gauge)
- Previous quality inspection experience would be an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Inspection Methods (Measurement & Evaluation), Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T), blueprint reading, statistical Analysis (SPC), proficient in Product Qualification Methodology (PPAP, FMEA, APQP, Control Plans).
- Must be able to follow all health and safety policies and laws.
- Advanced organizational skills and time management.
- Conduct quality audit in heat sinks and cold plates.

**Salary**: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
