Under direct supervision, the Sr Quality Assurance Analyst carries out established procedures to ensure programs/projects meet minimum company standards and end user requirements.

Under general direction, the Senior Quality Assurance Analyst carries out procedures to ensure that IT products and services meet minimum organization standards and end-user requirements. The incumbent conducts thoroughly quality assurance tests software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects. As the third level in the Quality Assurance job stream, the Senior Quality Assurance Analyst provides functional guidance to less experienced team members.

How You Will Create Impact

  • Creating test strategies and plans for various projects, with an emphasis on automation, assuming overall responsibility for test case documentation, and recording problems encountered during testing.
  • Creating test automation plan, identifying, and establishing automation toolset and frameworks.
  • Coordinating and managing resolution of problems encountered in testing for medium-to-large size projects, working with developers and analysts.
  • Conducting walk-throughs of testing documentation for medium-to-large projects.
  • Performing workflow analysis of testing procedures and recommend quality improvements.
  • Executing system and user acceptance testing according to plans.
  • Build and execute manual and automated test cases/scripts.
  • Involve in non-functional requirement discussions and testing.
  • Provide estimates, manage testing priorities, and implement risk-based testing.
  • Coordinate with business teams to support UAT, test data management and defect triage process.
  • Support and mentor junior QA team members and closely work with enterprise QA teams to establish consistent QA processes.
  • Provide timely status reports, highlight risks and dependencies to squad leads/project management.
  • Collaborating with internal/external IT teams across geographies, vendor partners and project management to ensure open communication and quality/timely deliverables.

To Join Our Team

  • Diploma or degree in Information Technology or Computer Science with at least 5-7 years of experience in Quality Assurance and software testing (manual and automation)
  • Ability to understand business processes, their translation to systems applications and the proficient use/understanding of testing tools and techniques.
  • Proven success in the design and implementation of automated functional and regression test suites with the use of automated testing tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, UIPath, TestComplete, Postman, and/or others.
  • Understanding of technical concepts applications, programming tools, operating systems, and interfaces.
  • Experience with data driven and/or BDD automation frameworks.
  • API automation experience using tools like DevTest, Postman, Karate etc.
  • Integrating automation scripts with CI pipeline for continuous regression and smoke testing
  • Experience working in agile methodology using tools such as JIRA, Confluence and Zephyr
  • Experience in the Financial Services industry, particularly with Personal & Commercial Insurance is an asset
  • Prior experience in testing Guidewire product implementations (PolicyCenter, ClaimsCenter etc.) is an asset
  • Hands on experience using Guidewire GT framework for UI and API testing is an asset
  • Experience with performance and load testing using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, etc. will be an asset.
