We're looking for a confident and dynamic Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our team and help us to ensure our products continue to meet our excellent standards.

**Job Purpose**:
The Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs Specialist will be responsible for ensuring products meet all necessary certification requirements, Return Good Authorization (RGA) coordination, and ensuring product quality. This position manages the entire certification process, from researching requirements, completing documentation and auditing conformance. Strong communication skills and confidence are essential for this position as it is responsible for ensuring certification standards are met, creating standard operating procedures, and enforcing compliance.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure new products meet certifier standards by determining requirements and communicating with the Engineering Department.
- Compile and submit certification documentation.
- Oversee warranty/Return Goods Authorization (RGA) program - ensuring appropriate corrective actions, assessing claims, and monthly reports.
- Design processes and documents related to applicable accreditations.
- Ensure continual conformance with certifier standards and customer requirements by conducting spot checks, audits, and maintenance of files.
- Support purchasing in dealing with suppliers to obtain material declarations.
- Update supplier listings and share alternatives with certifiers.
- Reviews and approves product bills of materials (BOM).
- Review and maintain product manuals for certification compliance.
- Maintain relationships with clients whose products have already received accreditation.
- Conduct root cause analyses for defects, non-conformities, or other quality failures.
- Assist in preparing and performing compliance and internal audits.

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- Completion of post-secondary education in a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs or Quality Assurance
- Previous working experience with ISO 9001, TS16949, AS9100 or regulatory filing experience with CE, CSA, UL, RCM, EMC, NSF, WRAS and Watermark.
- Excellent reading comprehension and technical writing skills; reading, understanding, and dissemination of technical documents including drawings.
- Highly organized and proficient in managing, processing, and releasing corporate documents (planned and per demand).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with advanced Excel skills.
- Proficient in the use of MRP/ERP systems and concepts.
- Able to use measuring equipment, multimeter, and oscilloscope.
- Experience with UL 979 and CSA C22.2 is an asset.

**Working Conditions**:

- Head-office position, with time spent in the warehouse.
- Frequent computer usage.
