Dessert Holdings is looking for a **Temporary** **HR Intern **to join our team based in **London, ON**. This position will include performing various administrative tasks and supporting the human resources department's daily activities. If you are interested in kickstarting your career in HR and getting a closer look at how our company approaches payroll, and employee development, we would like to meet you. As an HR Intern you have primary responsibilities in a variety of human resources activities such as, updating our employee records with new hire information, attendance management, assist in payroll, as well as assisting organizing and coordinating our HR policies and procedures

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Filing employees' records.
- Data entry into training tracker.
- Tracking attendance letters and updating employees' absence records.
- Assisting generalists/schedulers with various administrative tasks as needed.
- Ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions.
- Responsible for office organization/cleaning & offsite storage maintenance.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS**:

- Must have a high school diploma.
- Post-secondary education in HR is an asset.
- Experience as a staff assistant or similar junior HR role is an asset.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Basic knowledge of labor legislation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in an office environment.
- The ability to multi-task and work as part of a team.
- Demonstrate excellent administrative skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

**Shift Summary**:

- Required to worka minimum of five daysper week from Monday - Friday
- Required to be available to work 8 hours in a daywith a 30-minute break added.

**Pay Rate**:
$20.00 per hour

**Schedule**:

- Will be from 8:30am
- 5:00pm
