The **Health Programs Manager** is responsible for coordinating and implementing Health Program services that ensure community members receive effective care. The **Health Programs Manager** supervises excluded and unionized employees providing Health Programs services to the Tsartlip First Nation.

Preference may be given to those having knowledge of the W̱SÁNEĆ culture and traditions.

**Education and Experience**
- Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, or a discipline in the health field, and
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in community-based healthcare delivery systems; or
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience;
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing, directing and leading employees and contractors in both non-union and unionized work environments;
- Experience developing and managing health programs;
- Experience developing, managing and controlling operating budgets;
- Experience developing a variety of written reports, policy and procedures, and other documentation in accordance with organization directives and/or regulatory guidelines;
- Experience working in a First Nations community an asset;
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable vehicle plus a clean driver’s abstract and appropriate insurance;
- Clean criminal record check with Vulnerable Sector required.
- Valid standard first aid and CPR certificate may be required.

**About the Tsartlip First Nation**

The Tsartlip First Nation is one of five communities that constitute the W̱SÁNEĆ Nation. Located on the west side of the Saanich Peninsula (south east Vancouver Island), the W̱SÁNEĆ people have lived on these lands since time immemorial.

Our vision is to honour the past, while moving forward and creating opportunities for our future generations.

We have a population of 1038 registered members living both on and off Tsartlip First Nation territory.

Tsartlip 653 is comprised of Goldstream IR13, Mayne Island IR6, Senanus Island IR10 and South Saanich IR1 covering approximately 334 hectares in size and includes single family residential and leased homes, band administrations and commercial developments.
