**Solar Site Construction Manager**

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager for commercial and residential projects in Ontario.

**Primary Deliverables**

The Construction Manager is accountable for ensuring job performance of all site employees meets Company and Client expectations, meeting all construction goals (quality, timelines and budget) while maintaining a zero incident/accident/injury safety standard. The Construction Manager is responsible to support and drive, in close collaboration with the Project Manager, all aspects of the project construction related activities regarding safety, quality, schedule and site costs. The Construction Manager has the responsibility to act as a role model of professional and respectful leadership in the field environment and with any stakeholders and ensure any applicable policies and procedures are always communicated and strictly enforced, as required.

**People Management**
- Work with approved sub-contractors, labor agencies, human resources and manager to identify, on-board, train and lead site staff (laborers, electrical apprentices and journeymen, material handlers, health and safety inspectors, etc.).
- Manage day-to-day Installation, Quality Control, Materials, Health and Safety, Lead Hands and any site personnel for attendance, work, tasks.
- Responsible for providing supervision and development of all site employees during the construction phases of the project.
- Provide regular feedback to recognize employee success and identify areas for improvement.
- Complete a quarterly employee review form and feedback meeting.
- Escalate any critical employee issues which could impact deliverables to manager.
- Ensure and keep record that all employees and contractors on site have received safety orientation, assigned training and comply with all safety measures on an on-going.

**Construction Operation**
- Be the main point of contact for the PM and management on the Project. Collaborate with Project Manager regarding contractual obligations including, schedule, milestone deliverables, scope, budget and material management.
- Establish site personnel weekly and daily goals, that can be tracked.
- Follow the master project schedule from the PM, budget, and any other requirements.
- Ensure the construction site is clean after each shift and any materials that are left on site are secured and protected.
- Maintain company tools and accurately track material inventory
- Coordinate and manage all construction activities of the project through daily meetings with site staff, contractors, and any other consultants assigned to site activities. The role requires a significant presence on site daily.
- Report daily construction activities to the PM. Provide reports as required by Manager (weekly, monthly reports)
- Ensure all quality control activity on site performed by O&M Manager
- Collect and summarize site data and information for specific issue as requested
- Use technical knowledge and experience to optimize site productivity
- Monitor site employees' work levels and review work performance
- Provide guidance, training and direction to your team, including setting site and individual goals, performance standards, monitor work levels and review work performance
- Maintain a professional line of conduct in any circumstances and maintain an attitude that shows pro-active problem solving with interest of the customer and the Company needs in mind first.

**Requirements**:

- Valid G glass drivers license
- Must have an automobile and valid insurance
- 2+ years of solar installation background
- Ability to read and mark up construction drawings, maps, and specification sheets
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds throughout the day
- Working at Heights is an asset
- Telehandler and ariel equipment license is an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $30.00-$36.00 per hour

**Benefits**:

- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
