**Position Summary:
**Reporting to the Manager, Talent Acquisition and Attraction (TAA), the Skills Audit Coordinator is responsible for developing and administering skills audit and diagnostic tools for Support Staff at George Brown College. The coordinator will engage in strategic planning, developing supporting communication, tools and detailed data analysis, supporting Support Staff in completing the skills audit.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop a straightforward process to record and keep track of the skills, abilities, and attributes of all Support Staff members, ensuring the system is accessible and intuitive for all users.
- Introduce a proficiency assessment framework to measure different levels of expertise across various skills.
- Tool Development: review existing system capabilities, or Design and develop assessment tools using a step-by-step approach that starts with identifying core competencies and skills required across various support roles within the college and future roles.
- Collaborate with the Manager, TAA, the Office of Anti-Racism, Equity and Human Rights Services (OAREHRS) and Talent Solutions Consultant and other stakeholders to ensure the tools are accessible, user-friendly, and technologically adept.
- Tool Administration: collaborate with the Manager, TAA, OAREHRS and Talent Solutions Consultant to develop and implement user-friendly mechanisms for administering diagnostic tools, ensuring they leverage existing technology platforms for execution.
- Conduct skills audits using a mix of primary and secondary data sources such as surveys, forms interviews, and practical assessments to gather comprehensive data on staff competencies and skills.
- Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
- Data Analysis: Employ statistical software to identify trends from audit data, assessing staff training needs and their impact on the college's operations.
- Provide logístical support for events, including scheduling, communication, and resource management.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Educational and Experience Requirements**:
- Three-year diploma or degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, or a related field from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Additional certification in Career Services Counseling, Skills Audits, or Human Resources Management is preferred.
- Minimum five (5) years experience in skills development, preferably within a higher education or vocational training environment.
- Demonstrated experience in developing assessment tools, conducting skills audits, and reporting.
- Demonstrated Human Resources experience in skills inventory.
- Proven experience in skills assessment, training needs analysis, or talent management.
- Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst.
- Demonstrated experience in using intermediate to advanced level of Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Python and other database systems.
- Demonstrated experience in peer-to-peer coaching and mentoring.
**Skills and Attributes:
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational, time management, prioritization, and planning skills.
- Solid analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, interpersonal and teamwork skills at a professional level.
- Demonstrated commitment to uphold the College’s priorities on diversity and equity.
