**Role and Responsibilities**

CAE's immersive environment department is a highly technological department that is at the heart of the experience of pilots training, both in civil aviation or defense and security. Imagine, a team in charge of complete immersion in the environment: from display solutions, through mixed reality, content creation and visual rendering, generation of sound effects and simulator movements, weather conditions, as well as development of artificial intelligence of other "players" in synthetic simulation scenarios. That's who we are

As part of Immersive Environment department, you will act as Technical Leader for the **development, integration and delivery of the STRIVE-CGF product**. You will have to manage a community of practice and guide development teams toward new technologies, designs and operational efficiency. The Technical Leader is accountable for technical solutions related to his community of practice and domains of expertise.

In this role, the **Technical Leader** will be expected to:

- Conduct independent projects autonomously and is responsible for coordination of difficult assignments.
- Demonstrate leadership, inside his community of practice and as his representative toward external actors.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Use wide-ranging experience and professional concepts to resolve complex technical issues in creative and effective ways.
- Undertake independent studies, analysis, interpretations and propose solutions.
- Define and review design specification performance criteria to improve efficiency.
- Supervise and approve all design and test activities of a specific component, sub-system, or process.
- Establish and facilitate communication with other teams in order to manage interdependencies.
- Ensure sustained products quality
- Carry out coaching/mentoring and ensure technical development of members of his community of practice
- Bachelor’s degree in job-related field.
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant experience.
- Fluency in English and French.
